He was forcing her to discuss something she did not wish to recount, and her pained expression reflected that. By some miracle, he was here, and she did not wish to question it. Still, he deserved to know, if he was so insistent upon asking, and so she took a deep breath, trying to decide how best to tell him what had happened.
