"They were amazing because you were wearing them." It was probably the closest that Alec came to flirting. If it counted as flirting since to him, it was completely true. Anyone else would have looked ridiculous in them but somehow even the weirdest clothes looked right on Magnus.
The pixies worried him for a few seconds as he tried to classify them based on the Codex and Magnus' books. They didn't match anything he'd read about. Actually they looked more like the drawings in Mundane children's books than the Fae that he knew about.
They hovered around him, almost blinding as they sparkled around him. There was no hint of danger from them so Alec relaxed and let them look him over. They had to be safe or Magnus wouldn't have been having a conversation with them or let them play with his hair.
One of them chattered at him excitedly, reminding him of Izzy when she decided she needed to 'help' him with his fashion sense. Normally he would have fought her efforts, and the pixies attempts at styling his hair, but Magnus seemed amused by it. If it made Magnus happy, then Alec could live with his hair being a little brighter than usual for a few days. It really wasn't any different than dressing up for a date. "If it's not permanent, then they can put a couple blue streaks in my hair."
As the pixies moved closer, he whispered a suggestion to them. A little extra color wouldn't hurt and Magnus would probably like it. "Are there pixies like this in our world?"
