Where he didn't mind libraries, this one had him unnerved. In fact, he hated how it felt like his magic didn't seem to want to come to his fingertips for more than simple parlor tricks or things that really inspired no awe whatsoever. It felt like being smothered in a wet blanket. The thought was both unnerving and humiliating.

It made him stir crazy enough to wander the shelves as Alec seemed to busy himself cozying up to the books. Truly, Alexander was adorable with books, but right now he felt like a caged large cat pacing the bars.

That is... until the pixies showed up. At first he eyed them warily, but ended up talking to them. Which really ended up in them getting into his hair. What had been a lovely sheen of perfected iridescent glitter in his hair turned into a mess of rainbow colors perfectly striped through his hair as the little pixies giggled in delight.

He might have gotten angry, but he had to admit... the shine and colors were quite lovely. Poking his head around to look at Alec, he arched a brow. "Do you think the pixies live here?" Until he realized they were heading straight for his boyfriend... and Magnus wasn't so sure Alec would enjoy rainbow colored hair nearly as much as he did.
